Lead Gen & Marketing Automation

I'm a marketer who's curious about what motivates people and how that shapes what they buy. I turn that into lead-gen funnels, automations and campaigns that help independent financial advisors book more appointments and grow sales.

more about me

Hey, I'm Aria

I got into marketing because I'm fascinated by people. I want to know what makes someone trust a brand, and most of the answers come down to psychology.

Right now I'm on the media R&D team at Advisors Excel. I started out helping my manager launch pilots and now lead several of them end to end, from paid social and direct mail to GoHighLevel automations. I learned most of it on the job, alongside my manager and coworkers.

Most of my work is hands-on with financial advisors and their teams: joining sales calls, building campaigns that fit compliance rules, and helping families find someone they can trust with their retirement.

What I testedA Medicare D2C funnel on Meta in three rounds: live webinar, new webinar times, then an on-demand training video with nationwide targeting and static, image and video ads.
What I optimizedGoing on-demand removed the live-attendance barrier, and sending only qualified leads back to Meta through the Conversions API improved lead quality.
What I learnedCheaper, better-quality leads didn't turn into clients yet. People needed clearer next steps, so the next version adds a personalized Medicare timeline quiz and call follow-ups.

Three rounds of a Medicare D2C funnel

Started by helping my manager launch this direct-to-consumer funnel for pre-retirees, then took over running it: changing one big thing each round across format, timing, targeting and lead-quality signals.

Automating lead follow-up

Built GoHighLevel and Zapier automations for a lead-gen pilot across two advisor offices: lead intake, Five9 call routing, A/B-tested email and SMS nurture, and appointment confirmations.

My role · Research, creative & plan

Building a YouTube ads pilot from research to plan

Researched YouTube's ad formats and Google's financial services ad rules, then created the ads and campaign plan for two advisor firms: short pre-roll ads, educational in-feed ads, a 10–15 minute video, and a landing page with a booking call to action.

Testing follow-up touches on a book mailer

Tested whether two follow-up mailers lifted response to a personalized book mailer sent to about 900 households, with a 50/50 follow-up vs. control split.

FAQ

What does an R&D marketer do?

I test new ways to reach people, build the measurement to judge them, and turn the results into a plan.

What's your sweet spot?

Building, testing and launching automations in GoHighLevel. I treat every workflow like a puzzle, figuring out how the pieces fit so prospects hear back faster and nobody slips through the cracks.

How did you learn all this?

Mostly by doing it. I learned alongside my manager and coworkers, started out helping launch pilots, and now own several of them from plan to results.

What's with the weekend tastings?

Talking to customers face to face has taught me more about what makes people buy than any textbook did.
